How do we pray for the world?

There is not a single country in the world that seems to be problem free at the moment. Earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear power stations leaking radiation, famine, flood and political unrest fill the news. It is hard to know where to begin praying. How should we pray for the world in this state?

If you are seriously seeking an answer, may I recommend the book I have used for over 20 years called “Operation World”? This book contains a wealth of information to help us to pray intelligently for the world. It covers every country in the world giving statistics, brief summaries of economics, politics and religion, so in a few minutes you can gain a basic grasp of the situation in any particular place. In addition, it contains relevant, specific prayer guidelines for each country, provided by people who know the local situations. I strongly recommend it. The latest (7th) edition has just been produced, so now is an excellent time to equip yourself with this tremendous resource. Compiled by Jason Mandryk it is published by Biblica Publishing - ISBN: 978-1-85078-861-1. or you could visit their website http://www.operationworld.org/ Whether you use this or gain information from another source, please join in praying for the world at this very difficult time.

Every blessing in Jesus,
